WELCOME TO THE UPDATED QUARRY CLIMBING TEAM BLOG
So by the looks of our blog you would probably think that the Quarry team had all but fallen off the face of the Earth... On the contrary, the last year has been quite eventful. So here is a few things that are new with the Quarry Climbing Team.

Here are some of the kids on our climbing trip to Rock Canyon
We have had a change up in our coaches due to some wonderful life changes of our predecessors.
Cali Brown has rejoined the team as a coach when Matt and his wife Cassie ventured off to climb the world. They are spending two years traveling the world to climb. Honestly, could life be any cooler than that??? Check out their blog matthewandcassie.blogspot.com if you're interested in what they are up to.
Over the summer the team received a new coach Taylor Frampton after Dallin decided to vamp up his life with school and adding more than one new job to his schedule.
The team has been enjoying a few awesome outdoor trips with pictures and descriptions soon to come.
The Quarry now has BASE CAMP! Base Camp is a fun team for kid's ages 7-12 years that practices every Wednesday from 4-6pm. So if you or anyone you know has younger kids interested in climbing come check out a practice!
Bouldering season is in full swing now. There is a local competition at the Front in Ogden this Saturday October 29, 2011 and the next local competition will be held at none other than... THE QUARRY! The Quarry competition will be Saturday November 19, 2011.
We have also had the pleasure of a few new climbers joining the team. So be sure to check back for some updated information about the new team members.

The Beginning of summer!
Well we're all done with climbing competitions. Wyatt Price just completed in the Regional Finals and did awesome! Next year he is going to do even better as he progresses in his skills and strength. The last few weeks we've mostly been taking it easy and doing fun stuff like bouldering and roped climbing with some rappelling, and king swing.
This coming Tuesday we're going to be practicing slack line and doing roped climbing.
Check out pictures from our Regional competition in which we had a very good representation from the team.

Triassic Cancelled and other practice info
Hi Everyone,
Due to the unusually cold weather we'll have to cancel the trip this weekend. We'll tentatively reschedule for next weekend and hope that it warms up. I'll check the weather for Cleveland, UT and if it's not going to be at least 45 in the sun then we probably won't go.
Also we're going to start toproping tonight and slowly phase out of bouldering. For those who are going to regional competitions we'll continue to have those climbers do primarily bouldering.
